Story
Edge appears in Suikoden 3 wielding the Star Dragon Sword which in an incarnation of the Night Rune. He has virtually nothing to do with the actual plot of the game but seeing the Star Dragon Sword wielded by someone other than Viktor means he may be important in the future. It is said he borrowed the sword from Viktor to slay a vampire. Not much else is known about Edge.
Analysis
Considering Vikor's age at the time of Suikoden 3, it is likley that Edge will suceed him as the bearer of the Star Dragon Sword which would make him important in the Suikoverse. I expect we will be seeing more of Edge in any future installments that take place after the events of Suikoden 3.
